I’ll admit I’m not an ideal host

You remind me I should drink

Like a baby in my garden

I eat enough for two of me, now

When your florets reach my neck

I see the sun inside my mirror

A nosegay to hold close my scars

A houseguest turned into a home

You make no fuss, polite, benign

And though you redden at my saying,
